Presentation Les Gautronnières
Muscadet - Vintage 2009

Château la Tarcière (Bonnet-Huteau)
La Levraudière

Les Gautronnières

This cuvee of Muscadet is produced organically. This is the natural expression of a land of green rocks. The wine is made with natural yeast from the grapes. After ageing sur lie, this Muscadet is bottled, without finings in order to protect its aromas. It goes well with seafood, fish and hors d'oeuvre.

The Winery

The castle La Tarcière is located in the middle of the vineyard of Muscadet and the area of the designation Sèvre et Maine. This winery, site of a medieval residence which sparked off the creation of the city La Chapelle Heulin, has been producing wine for more than 150 years.

The family BONNET-HUTEAU makes the most of its vineyard by developing all the flavors of the "Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Haute Expression". Since already 10 years, Rémi and Jean-Jacques Bonnet run Viticulture with full respect of the ground and the nature thanks to a limited productivity and manual grape harvests.

Giving up gradually the classical techniques of the viticulture, they have chosen the come back to ploughing, a limited productivity and the conversion to organic farming since 2005 ("Agriculture Biologique" in French).

The Tasting

Strong nose with white fruits flavors, plus a mineral touch with a light lemony note. Mouth: at first, enjoy the wine that is generous in the mouth with a good roundness. The finish is sustained with a pleasant freshness. This wine has a great potential and it blends the land of the know-how of the winemaker.
